Thank you, ladies! It is definitely a roller coaster! What gets me even more emotional is when, I eat and get nauseous and feel like crap, then whomever I'm with, whether it's my bf, my mom or my friends, they say "ohh u ate too much, or u shouldn't have eaten that" it makes me want to screeeeeam lol. They just don't understand and I don't think they ever will. I will forever be "scolded" for something I'm not doing wrong. I try to explain that I have to eat, I have to learn all over again what my body can handle, just because I feel crappy, doesn't mean I made a bad decision.

@@amylynns that is what I was looking at today at Walmart, the individual frozen tilapia, but I wasn't sure if that was good or not lol. Then I was thinking if I buy this, I have nooo idea what to do with it! Lemon pepper sounds like it'd be yummy! I think that will be my next experiment :) and u know what, I never really thought to do just my chicken breast in the crock pot, I will Def try that too! I have a pretty little crock pot that I don't use nearly as much as I should.

Thank you @@Beni I give you major major props for going back to puree! I wish I could, but it's a texture thing with me. I was gagging if I ate anything puree. I do eat Soups and applesauce, yogurt, stuff like that tho. :)

@Luna222--Yep, that's the right tilapia! :-) I add a can of cream of chicken or cream of "something" in with the chicken breasts if I do them in the crockpot. Makes them nice and moist. :-)

Oh girl---that would make me crazy too if people were questioning what I'm eating, or implying I ate something wrong!! I haven't had that happen. I get, "You poor thing." But I don't want people to feel bad for me, this was my choice and like you said, it's like learning how to eat all over again.

My PA kept saying to treat my pouch like a 6 month old baby. If you wouldn't feed it to a 6 month old, don't eat it. Thank goodness I'm finally past that stage!

I had to go back to pureed for about a week and that was HORRID! But once they did the scope and upper GI and gave me the all clear that nothing was wrong, I was so happy when my NUT suggested I try the next stage.

Tonight for dinner I had steamed carrots and thin salami wrapped around mozzarella cheese. (2 of these) No nausea, just full. :-)

Omg it drives me nuts when I get "you poor thing" too lol. Unless it's from my bf, cuz I like when he gets all sweet n comforting lol.

That's crazy, I had the exact same thing for dinner! Except I had some green olives, no carrots...I was craving salami and cheese all day, and my tummy was fine with it :)

When I am in a hurry (always, it seems) I place a spritz of olive oil on a tiny non-stick frying pan. I add the Tilapia filet with seasonings and place a lid on it. It cooks quickly and the lid keeps the moisture in. About 3 minutes per side and it's all cooked. I will add a dash of white wine next time and let it evaporate for a taste twist. I will try that for lunch with steamed broccoli. I was supposed to start more solid foods Thursday (week 7) but things have been going well all week and I will attempt today. In other words, I won't place my meal in the food processor before I eat it. Wish me luck!

The only problem is a small fillet of Tilapia is huge for my tiny stomach. Yet more tiny leftovers for my refrigerator, lol. You should see my refrigerator, I have a collection of very small containers with leftovers in there. I am going to have to do labels because it's getting ridiculous.

I get so tired of leftovers. I started just throwing them away. I'm going to lean more toward pescatarian for a week or so. I haven't lost any weight for 2 weeks.

I did start a new business though.

LOL-My BF isn't all that comforting. There was one time he was, I was shocked. I had kind of holed myself up in my room for a couple days bawling, and he finally got worried enough he broke down and comforted me. He's more of the "let's get done what needs to be done, and not cry about it" kind of guy. *sigh*

Ooo, green olives sound good. I'm sure my son has eaten all of the ones I just bought though! He snags those as quick as he can, goofball.

@Beni--I will definitely try the tilapia in my non-stick pan w/ olive oil! That's a lot quicker!!

Can't wait to hear how lunch goes! Small, small bites---chew, chew! :D I couldn't eat the whole piece when I first started solids either. But I don't like leftover fish. (gets too fishy for me) Luckily my 14yr old son LOVES fish and always offers to eat what I can't. :P

I waste 1/2 my Breakfast every morning. I made 1 small egg with the thin sandwich rounds and can never eat it all. I'll hand some off to Zach before I even start eating it if he hasn't left for school yet, LOL.

Remember that commercial when we (some of us)were young, "Mikey will eat it!" That's Zach. Haha. Except he's bone thin, with washboard abs, so he can "afford" to eat it!

I have a bunch of little tupperware containers of leftovers too! But I do end up dumping a lot of it. (in the garbage) I always think it sounds good for later, but then it doesn't sound all that good later, hehee.

Congrats on your new business venture Layknee!! I'll take a peek! But pretty sure I've been cut off from anymore jewelry buying, LOL!!

@@layknee I love Chloe and Isabel. Good choice. My best friend is a district manager of sorts (not sure her exact title) - she does very well. Good luck!

I really wish bronxmerci would check in - if anyone hears from her please post it. My prayers are on overload right now.

I think we should all start posting our fave meals for ideas. I know nutrition is different but it'll work. I'm not allowed to have any grains until 6 months out. So I'm jealous of those that can have crackers and such ....how crazy is that lol

I'm in exercise craze right now and doing my best to eat bc I have no appetite so I'm in a severe stall. It'll break someday and I was prepared for it so I have to remind myself through pictures. I'm glad I took them. I'll share a comparison from 2wks out and now at 9 weeks out. I have a waist!

@dc0520-You look great!!!! I need to post some updated pics too! I can tell in my clothes and I measure myself, so I know I've lost inches. But in my head I'm still the size I was. Hopefully some pics will help me see the change.

I haven't had anyone say anything to me about my loss yet. Well, a couple friends that knew I was having the surgery. I think sometimes with a fast weight loss people are afraid to say something for fear you're ill or something! :-)

Thank you!

I regret not measuring myself before surgery - I guess I could start now. I don't see the difference in the mirror so pictures help keep me on track. I think we all have this image burned in our memory and it's hard to overcome seeing things that aren't there. No one has mentioned my loss either nor has my size changed as much as I thought it would. I also didn't tell anyone except my husband and parents. I can't wait to get to that "oh my" stage. Maybe at 6 months? I know a lot of people that are in onderland by then and start losing sizes quicker with lower amounts of weight.

Post the pics lady!

So my honey said that shirt doesn't do me justice...I know it's really baggy so here's another pic with a small shirt. I don't like the front view with this one cuz my yoga pants are so big I have them pulled way up and you can see them in the pic, heehee.

Pretty sure it's not your pics (certain). You suffer just like we all do, our brains can't notice the change that others say they see. I had my 6 week appt today and my Mom said well finally you found someone you believe about your appearance (speaking about surgeon's reaction). I told my Mom that I believe her, I just don't see what she sees, I mean I see the clothes but not a change in my body per se. I think we have filters we need to remove...now how to do that?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
