amylynns 802 Posted November 11, 2014 My husband never asks what the scale says, Im really glad he doesn't. You better believe once I get to below 185lbs I will definately tell him how much I weigh. That means I weigh less than him and I havent been there since my son was born in 2010. I don't mind him knowing what I weight I guess. But it'd be nice to get a compliment about it, rather than just asking what the number is all the time.
tacycakes 127 Posted November 11, 2014 You are all lucky about sex. My husband has a pharmacy beside him for major depression disorder, bipolar disorder, ulcers and Prilosec, he had a hernia in his groin last year repaired and had an anal fistula repaired in September. He is also a hypochondriac of the biggest degree and has ED. He hasn't touched me in 4 years and asked me to move out of our bedroom 8 months ago because he couldn't sleep because of the noise of my CPAP machine. I now sleep in the formal living room and have a curtain for a door and have to use the hall bathroom at night. Most people that know him think he's gay, and I wonder too. (He has always rejected me and pushed me away when I try to have sex. We've been married for 18 years and have only had sex maybe 20 times and those are complete disasters.) I separated from him for a year and had some of the best sex of my life seven years ago, but finances and our business brought us back together. I adore sex. Always have. My kids tell me to have an affair, but I'm not that person. The psychiatrist that I had to see before surgery told me it will be a big struggle for me bc as you lose weight, your hormones change and you want to have sex soooo much more. He says "watch out for the gym! You will be interested in all of the men there because of the change in hormones!" Wow. Great.

walkin'onsunshine 225 Posted November 11, 2014 I transitioned to soft foods today. I was so excited but it definitely feels a lot heavier when it hits your pouch. I can only eat a couple of bites or I feel like throwing up. It's a process... Enjoy the journey. ????
tacycakes 127 Posted November 11, 2014 @@tacycakes How are you doing? not so great I guess. Thank goodness my two week checkup is tomorrow. I think I must have a kink or small blockage or something. Ever since surgery in order to go to the restroom, I have to take a laxative and most times it still doesn't work. I have tried so many things, and even reverted back to a liquid diet, but the Water makes my lower stomach hurt in the middle. I can feel the water actually travel down the pipe. (Sorry guys) but my urine is now a fluorescent yellow, I only go about 2-3 times a day like a trickle, and my skin is dry like paper. I must be dehydrated. I had surgery on 10-28 and weighed 220 then and 210 now. 10 lbs in 2 weeks sucks. Everyone else is doing so much better. I try to drink, but it gets stuck and painful. Like I said, I'll be glad to see the surgeon tomorrow. Also, my damned lower stomach is flopping over my underpants. That has never happened before, and I'm wondering if a cut stomach muscle is responsible? It suuuuuckkkss.
tacycakes 127 Posted November 11, 2014 I'm so sorry, that seems quite depressing. Would he mind going to therapy with you to see what he deal is with being intimate?we actually tried that. At a sex therapist. He refused at first and then went and agreed to everything the therapist said and we drove home separately and he did nothing about it. We stopped going after 6 times bc it just became stupid.

BubblyTXGirl 30 Posted November 12, 2014 This is Kristie I had surgery Oct 15. I keep trying to add foods other than liquids. I was doing so well and feel like I am having a huge set back. I wish i was "eating" so I could say the reason I feel cruddy is because of eating... Any of you other recent RNY Struggling with getting off Clear Liquids? I think I'm lactose intolerant. I dump every time I eat any kind of dairy. I was super excited to start this... My hernia is gone, my reflux is gone... Now I want to feel human

BubblyTXGirl 30 Posted November 12, 2014 Oh--I feel a little silly now. I was giving all the credit for my pain being gone (mostly) on that one incision to my essential oils that helps break down scar tissue. BUT......last Thursday evening I turned around in my bedroom quickly, felt a big POP--and then screamed (because it hurt!) then I cried like a baby for a while. I still had some pain that evening, but it was Friday morning when I realized the pain was practically gone. So that's what happened!! LOL--I do have to say, the hardness around that incision has softened a lot, so I'll give my oils a little credit. amylynn What oil are you using? I'm curious, because I have one spot that is really tough

I don't know how you do it! My need for touch and affection is HUGE. Give me a lot of affection and I'm a sure thing. I'm glad you are going to see your surgeon tomorrow! I think that really needs to be checked out. Doesn't sound normal. Please let us know what happens.
amylynns 802 Posted November 12, 2014 Sometimes it seems like they just don't get it, do they, lol? You're going through so much physically, not to mention emotionally. Your hubs may just be feeling a little sorry for himself, feeling a little resentful of the focus on you, that he's not getting enough attention, or just how his life is affected by all this "stuff". And him being a butt is the last thing to make you feel romantic... My hubs is trying to lose about 30 lbs right now and seems to be doing it pretty easily - grrrr. Anyway, I keep telling him how good he looks, it's noticeable, etc, and do you think it might occur to him to say the same to me once in awhile? Duh...so frustrating. Keep your chin up and remember that it'll pass - till the next dumb thing comes along! Lol No, they sure don't get it sometimes! I just wish he understood I am not meaning to hold out on him. You're probably right,he's feeling a little sorry and resentful. Isn't it crazy how easy they seem to lose weight? Mine has been losing weight and he's not even trying! He only weighs about 160! I told him to stop losing or I'll NEVER catch up to him! LOL. So you've been complimenting him and you get nothing back? Grrrrr, not cool. Yep, chins up until the next time!
