Fill Doctor in Victoria or Vancouver BC??

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if anyone could refer a doctor in Canada, near Victoria or Vancouver for fills?? I am about 2 hours from there, and have band that is not currently US approved. It is the Johnson & Johnson, Obtech brand. It would be closer than returning to Mexico for this. Thanks! Beckie

I was given this website by my doctor: Fill Centers USA - Weight Loss Surgery - Bariatric Surgery - Gastric Bypass Surgery - Lap Band Surgery Information and Support. They are just starting to open locations for people that don't have doctors. One just opened in Auburn, which was only about 45 minutes away from my home. We met the doctor a few weeks ago, and got our first fill. You might want to take a look and see if there is one that might be close for you? Our doctor was really nice, and we're glad to finally have someone who will see us. :)

I was banded in the US and I see Dr Woodhead in Delta for my fills. I think very highly of him. I am not sure if he takes on patients banded in Mexico.

There is also Northwest Fills in Arlington, Washington (approx 45 min - 1 hour south of the border) their website is http://www.northwestfills.com/ and their price for fills seem reasonable. I was considering this option, if I was not able to find a fill Dr. in the Lower Mainland.

Good luck with your search.

I was banded in Mexico and do to Dr. Woodhead in Delta. It is 15 minutes from the Tsawassen ferry. I would love to find someone on the island to save ferry costs!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
