Feeling crappy...

Recommended Posts

Woke up yesterday not feeling so good, it'll pass I say. Well today is the day I've started my 2 week diet. 2 shakes and a Protien and veggie for supper or can do lunch.

I'm miserable, can't breathe runny stuffy nose, headache. I see the NUT for my last weigh in tomorrow, then the surgeon on Thursday! Please please please let this get better.

Anyone else get sick 2 weeks or sooner to their surgery date?

Woke up yesterday not feeling so good

@@#9grammy

from one grammy to another ;)

sorry you are feeling so blahh

do the best you can with your pre-op

when you see your NUT soon - tell her you are sick (i'm sure she'll realize)

she "might" tell you to not worry that much about pre-op til you feel better

iif she tells you that you much proceed with pre-op

oh well  gotta suck it up.......... :(;)

get plenty of rest/sleep - drink hot soup/tea - stay covered up with blanket

the cold will pass of course - its a matter of when???

i have seen people here that actually wake up a couple days before WLS that are sick

but as long as there is no fever, they are still good to go

feel better soon

good luck with upcoming WLS :)

speedy recovery

kathy

At my pre op testing, one week before surgery, I was told to call the hospital the day before If I was running a fever. You have a cold and two weeks to get over it. Drink tons of fluids and stay in bed. It should pass. All the best.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
