alexsisv 139 Posted October 13, 2014 Can i take a moment and whine? Things are tough. Eating 2 oz mushies and shakes. Having to reframe the context of all cravings. .... I'd like a bite of a cheeseburger but it would feel like hell going down and most likely come back up. bread and Pasta aren't even an option. I'm closing in on almost shy of 20 lbs down post op and that's awesome! Focus on the victory.... long term things will be easier and eating won't suck so much. Done whining. Just a bumpy patch of road. Started Vitamins too. Ready for it not to feel like a full time job and just part of the groove. Rant over! Encouragement and good vibes sincerely appreciated. melissa160 5 Posted October 13, 2014 It's gonna get better! Just gotta get over the hump. 11 more sleeps til my surgery and I keep telling myself that I just gotta get thru the first 3-6 healing months and then life will be easier. My sister went thru before me and at 10 months post op she has hit her stride. Can't wait! Keep up the good work!
Cherich 23 Posted October 13, 2014 I got over my cravings a weird way. I chewed a bite and spit it out. Nothing tasted the way I thought it would and most cravings have ended. At first I couldn't sit at the table when others ate...now it doesn't bother me at all. I've found I can eat a bite or 2 of almost anything 10 weeks post surgery. It's amazing to never be hungry! Now I'm 60 pounds lighter and loving it!
