You already have the basic function in the Subscriptions list.

I don't understand. That has nothing to do with whether threads show up in the New Posts screen.

Are you looking for a way to UNsubscribe from threads so they don't show in your Subscribed Threads list? That's a whole different question.

Nope. I can already unsubscribe from that list, but that same type of functionality could be used on ALL threads to allow the user the option to 'hide' a specific thread. I'm sorry, my programming expertise is very limited and I do not hang out on other VBulletin boards much. But, Walgreens lets me 'hide' my old prescriptions.. lol.

Leatha, have you ever seen a "hide this thread" option on a VBulletin board? We don't even know if it's technically possible. Alex, is it?

If it is, that seems like the best option to me. And even the poor newbies who are apparently so unable to look after their own interests without protection, even they should be able to quickly learn how to hide a thread. Even lowly newbies should be able to do that.

But then again, if it is technically impossible, then that's just how it goes.

If we ever can hide threads, I'm going right for that American Idol thread. I am deeply offended by it. Every time I even see those words "American Idol" I feel a projectile PB starting to generate and work its way to the surface. I am deeply offended by American Idol.

That makes three of us. You will never see my sheltered, easily offended little self in the American Idol thread.

I'm getting a bit worried here, Mark. This is the second thing in like 36 hours that we've agreed on. Next thing you know, we'll be LB support buddies.

The "hide thread" feature has been added. You'll see "Ignore this thread" in the Thread Tools drop down. You can manage your ignored threads right from your CP.

Oprah's Weigh Loss Tips, Mini-Gastric Bypass, and New Weight Loss Camp....those are the ads when I click on this thread. I don't see the connection to the LB, but I at least like Oprah. The MGB guy, I don't like. He's the one who posted the very negative video on youtube.com about "failed" Lap Band procedures. I think anything to do with the MGB should be banned from LBT. Just my shiny dime's worth.

Exactly. People act like it's so freakin' difficult to ignore a thread. It isn't hard at all. You just don't click on it whenver you see it pop up. Even those poor newbies can figure it out. Heck, even I figured it out. There are lots of threads here that I am not interested in.

Unfortunately, Alex, people still aren't going to be happy that you are doing so much for us.

Thank you. Your patience threshold is unbelievable. My DH would, by now, have thrown in the towel and shut down the whole site....just to teach us a lesson. You are sooooooooo much calmer than the average man. Are you on some really good drugs, Alex?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
