fezik23 240 Posted October 12, 2014 I'm almost four months out and I keep forgetting that the way I used to eat is a thing of the past. I forget that eating in restaurants won't be the same, or that I when I cook for my family, chances are I'll only have a couple of bites of food ( so I end up preparing too much). On my way home from work I'll contemplate taking the family out to eat and then realize it doesn't make much sense at this point. It's such a change of mindset. I'm just wondering when this will really sink in.
RJ'S/beginning 5,358 Posted October 12, 2014 (edited) I am almost 2 years out and still have big eyes. I have a cupboard full of items that I am going to eat...NOT! But I buy them anyway. I still go out to restaurants and order a full entree but my hubby takes the rest home for lunch the next day. He is finally putting the weight back on he lost while I was in the hospital. Look for me...I will never lose the addiction. It will always be so close by I will be able to touch it. I work on it every day. Don't be scared to try new things when you are ready. Slow and steady wins the race! Edited October 12, 2014 by RJ'S/beginning
jjinWA 511 Posted October 12, 2014 I can relate here. I certainly have eyes bigger then my stomach. I think I am putting small portions on my plate but I still end up leaving much of it cuz I am full! Crazy how little I eat now compared to my past life. I do still crave crave my breads, pastas, etc. I avoid them most times, but once in awhile I will have a bite or two of my favorite carb dish or bread item. That's ok for me. It helps me get past the craving because just a bite or two satisfies me now. I still always make sure I get in my Protein first at any meal. Of course by the time I do that I am full and the carbs are not so tempting. I reached one of my goals today. Hit the 50# loss mark this morning. Yeah!!!
