Onephatmom 19 Posted November 12, 2014 Tomorrow's the day. Starting to worry I'm going to struggle with no longer having my favorite foods. Did anyone feel this way? I know I'm better off but nervous.
Denster 6 Posted November 12, 2014 Yes... Still dealing with it one week post op. My wife wanted pizza one night. I couldn't help myself, I took a bite. Chewed it till all the favor was gone then spit it out. Not my proudest moment, but I got through it.
happymama2014 206 Posted November 12, 2014 Yes... Still dealing with it one week post op. My wife wanted pizza one night. I couldn't help myself, I took a bite. Chewed it till all the favor was gone then spit it out. Not my proudest moment, but I got through it. I totally did the same thing you did. I cooked pizza for my son yesterday and it smelled so wonderful. I just put some pepperoni and cheese in my mouth chewed it and spit it out. I realized then I can do this for a month. Anyway nothing was damaged in the chew and spit. Lol

mhugueley 45 Posted November 12, 2014 It just burns like crazy and makes me very uncomfortable. I can feel it all the way thru my back. They gave me milk of magnesia here and i have some other stuff to sprinkle on my food or drink as well for heartburn/acid.
Wingnut90 10 Posted November 12, 2014 On the other side of surgery, gas pains were the worst. Every day is getting better, walk as much as you can because painkillers don't touch gas pains. Stay strong and remind yourself it doesn't last forever.
mishelcrz88 22 Posted November 12, 2014 Yes at the hospital the gas was what hurt the most not my cuts but the gas and I think it's still what's bothering me since I can feel it on my back but no burning just cramps but really bad ones on my upper stomach
