wyomom 9 Posted October 17, 2014 Just got the call I've been waiting for, VGS November 3rd!! It's been a 7 month process of jumping thru a lot of hoops but it's all going to be so worth it. Cannot wait to get started on my new, healthier life. Start liquids only next Monday, any sleevers out there with suggestions about favorite, tasty Protein Drinks? Quest4TheNewMe 225 Posted October 18, 2014 I'm currently waiting on a response on insurance approval. Met with the surgeon on Thursday. The clinic tells me that they typically hear back in about 2 days. Fingers crossed!!

MUA 18 Posted October 26, 2014 I start mine tomorrow!! What have you been doing? Full liquid diet or are you eating too?
Wingnut90 10 Posted October 26, 2014 I have done only liquids except for plain oatmeal, found if you add a little apple flavoring like you use in your Water it makes it taste better, first days have been a little tough but each day seems easier. I was supposed to start mine tomorrow too but thought I would start a few days earlier since I gained a couple pounds from my last weight in Dr visit. Good luck on your diet and your sleeve. MUA 18 Posted October 27, 2014 Did you add any fruit to your Protein Shakes?
wyomom 9 Posted October 27, 2014 I'm 6 days in to the liquids only/protein shakes & am dropping weight like crazy, averaging 1-2 pounds a day right now. Down 20.5 as of this morning from my highest weight back in September. The first couple were tough, headaches & low energy & just felt blah. Had a couple of episodes of hypoglycemia so my Nut is allowing me a 3oz. package of Water pack tuna, plain. It's tastes pretty darn good after those sweet Protein drinks! Also have found that homemade broth tastes pretty good too. I am adding Mio to my water bottles & it's really helping me get the water down. It's kind of tart & really makes the water go down easier. I also add a little unflavored whey protein to up my protein intake. Surgery November 3rd, I'm ready!!!!
