I had my sleeve done Tuesday at 7pm, so I'm almost 3 days out. This surgery was a lot more painful than I thought it would be. Today I've been able to move around a lot. I'm home, walking around in the home, how much should I be walking right now? The only place I'm hurting is on an incision to the right of my belly button. None of the others hurt. Whenever I move that side hurts terrible. I'm still taking my liquid pain medicine every 6 hours. When did yall stop taking your pain medicine? I'm able to drink broth and Water well, no vomiting

Hi, just got home from the hospital, had my sleeve on Weds 10/8.Think the worse of it was the gas pains, the incisions arent too bad. Taking fluids, shakes and Water, Tomorrow I can start eating mushy stuff. So glad that all of that is done. Nwsuz

My biggest incision bothered me for a couple of weeks, but the smaller ones were just itchy. I had some problems with the Protein shakes: bloating, gas , Constipation. When I don't use them, those issues go away. Also gas-x strips helped with the gas.

I was lucky only large incision hurt. I wore the band they gave me for 2 1/2 wks which really helped with pain & sleeping at night. I had my sleeve on 9/23. Still a little tender & wear lose band pants. Only tender if I bump my stomach on the counter or bending over. It gets better at day 5. ☺

I was also lucky, I never had any pain associated with the surgery and never took any of the liquid pain killer, it's actually still sealed in my cabinet. I would probably bring that up to your surgeon do you have a 1 week post op follow up? Walking will help a lot but don't overdo it, use ice packs to help with the pain as well. I hope you feel better soon!! make sure you are also looking at the incisions to make sure they aren't infected at all.
