Recommended Posts

I couldn't drink 64 ounces with my old stomach...so I'm finding hard to drink 64 ounces with my new stomach.

Hello COTTON mouth. I'm only 3 wks post op but this has been a problem for me the last week. I've learned and also keep a bottled Water on my nightstand. I usually wake up at least 2x during the night to drink. I've noticed that it's usually worse on days my sodium intake is higher, which makes sense. I'm still struggling to get close to even half my daily Fluid intake but it is getting easier everyday. I too was a chugger pre-op and drank TONS of water during the day, so this is oddly new to me. But day by day, right? :-) Cotton mouth though, not so fun lol

4 days post op VGS and it's the same thing but instead of Water I want a tall cold glass of skim milk 🐄. Which is odd because during the pre op diet I never had milk.

I'm like that too! I love water and after surgery I would have ice water on both sides of my bed lol but I found if I drink low calorie Gatorade during the day and one at night I'm not so thirsty but I still have my water by my bedside and in my car! I up to a gallon of water a day now ! By sipping still can't gulp !
