Weird how I'm not using anything I thought I would post op. I ordered Unjury chocolate and have been using it twice a day with almond coconut milk and the rest the day is broth Soup or crystal light and yogurt. In another week I can do cottage cheese etc so it like the getting in Protein part was never a problem. I have my Syntrax and will def use it but for sone reason the milk and unjury feel great and taste better so why ruin a good thing! Now u just need to order more cuz it took forever to get here and cannot buy it locally.

I was walked the river walk in San Antonio for 4 hrs day I was released. I am not having any problems getting my Fluid in. I had gastric sleeve on Nov. 24 and am new to this site. I don't know what "buddying up" is, but it sounds good to me! I could use a few friends to compare notes with.

@@Elizabeth1124, I have surgery 11/13. I feel great. How are things going for you?

I came back to add, I noticed that we have the same goal weight and I am only an inch shorter than you. At my last appointment (Jan 2nd) my surgeon told me that I should probably change my goal weight because he isn't sure I will get there. When I started this process I told him that I would be thrilled to get down to 160. He is the one that told me 140 was the best goal for me. Now he has changed his mind but in the same sentence tells me I am doing well . . . If you don't mind sharing, how many calories are you eating daily? I have PCOS so I am trying to keep my carbs at 40.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
