Any other night eaters out there? Its the only time of the day that I lose control. I have tried just drinking a hot drink, but its kinda failing me now. If you like to eat at night, what are you trying to do to combat those cravings?

I typically have a night snack after dinner, I just make sure it's a healthy snack. I'll eat a handful of almonds or maybe eat a Greek yogurt or sugar-free popsicle. If I'm low on Protein for the day I'll drink another shake. Maybe a banana or apple.

I don't think there's any reason to deprive yourself of a snack if you're hungry -- just make it a good choice.

I try to keep to three meals a day. I don't get hungry at night, but occasionally my sweet tooth will kick in. I've satisfied it with a couple of oreos so far, probably not the best idea :)

I struggle with dinner. Because it was always my largest meal. I get full so quickly I feel nipped out of a meal. All psychological I know.

Try a Protein Drink it fills me so fast! I recently realized i need to keep my routine like we have almost all our lives. Don't eat after a certain time. Just like before surgery calories we eat and go to bed on still has the same effect on us. I find I have stalemate (stop losing) when i eat late. I once has someone tell me to have a horrible tasting cough drop. I go brush my teeth. I tend not to eat after I brush. Hope this gets easier for you.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
