How much weight have you lost so far? I believe it can happen from rapid weight loss.

I was 6 weeks post-op. I knew going into bypass surgery that I had gall stones, but doc didn't take it out during surgery. I didn't gave any issues after surgery, but needed a total knee, so opted to get gall bladder taken out so I didn't risk infections after knee surgery. I'm glad I had gall bladder taken out, as the pathology report showed that I had a long standing inflammation/ infection that was not manifesting as a full blown gall bladder attack. Surgery was a breeze. I was headed out the door to go home about 1 hour after coming out of recovery. The best thing the anesthesiologist offered he was a nerve block on my abdomen. It lasted a couple if days, and allowed me to get around pain free in those days following surgery. Surgery was on Wednesday, and I went back to work the following Monday. If you are offered the block TAKE IT!

To the poster, couple of days on pain pills and soreness for a few more days. The back pain is relieved as soon as they remove it.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
