:( Hello!

So I was looking in my closet today and I was oohing and ahhing because I have some killer shoes that I can't wear anymore because my feet got so much wider with my weight. :angry

To those who have lost some weight...has your feet gotten smaller?

For those who have gotten near goal, how did it change your shoe size?

I hope hope hope that my feet shrink back to normal size! ;)

Thanks!

Carey

Yes, feet get smaller too. I've gone from a 12 wide to a 10 shoe, 11/11.5 heels and sandals. I like the extra half size on anything that isn't enclosed because it helps make sure I don't get that "foot hanging off the shoe" look that even a damn quarter size too small can cause. ;)

the first time i lost a buttload of weight my feet went down a whole size. 8.5 to 7.5. i've since regained that buttload plus some back but oddly enough my feet have stayed 7.5. i'm kind of curious what is going to happen when i lose this time around!!!

I really want my feet to shrink when I get banded. I don't care if the get smaller length-wise, as long as they get narrower. It makes it hell to find pretty shoes that don't make my feet look like squished sausages.

I am not banded yet but a couple of years ago I lost 60lbs on Weight Watchers and my feet got smaller. I used to tell my husband that I was going to end up looking like Patrick Star from SpongeBob with those tiny little peg feet and big belly. Not sure why my feet got smaller, but they did. Would have really rather had that weight come from by belly...or my butt for that matter!

bubble at least your butt isnt a bubble anymore..LOL....Deanna....

But my 7.5 feet were never an issue for me! It was my butt and IS my gut.

Of course, now I have no boobs.

Ohhhh, the horror of it all!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
