Today I went to the doc for my two week post op appointment. Everyone was pleased with my progress and how well I'm doing. The dietitian was surprised at the amount of Protein I am getting, thanks to Premier Protein shakes.

I also got my drain out after having it for two weeks. It gave me a bit of pain after it was taken out. I'm do I g better now.

I got to eat some mashed potatoes and a small piece of canned chicken. It tasted so good and didn't bother my stomach.

I do feel great and I'm glad I got my surgery.

That's great! I've notice that my cloths fit differently now too, but I refuse to get new ones until I've lost a bit more weight. I had the cravings, too, one week after surgery, and I didn't cave either.

I'm so glad you're doing well!

As of today I have lost a total of 17.5 lbs. tomorrow marks week 2. I have been keeping track of my inches and I can tell you I have lost anywhere from 0.5 to 2 inches in various places. I measured my neck, upper and lower legs, paper and lower arms, bust, under bust, waist, gut and buttocks. I am so stoked at this point. I think I am in my first stall. I have only lost a pound in the last two days, but I know I will return to weight loss.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
