Surgery at 730am home by 1030Am. Pain not that bad. Taking my meds. Walking every hr few laps around my apartment. Using gas x strips and icyhot heatg pad on my left shoulder. All in all okay. Super hungry. But feeling very optimistic

You've made that first BIG step! Congrats!

The hunger's going to last a few more weeks until you get a good fill that also restricts, and wha-la! You're suddenly not feeling hungry all the time, you eat to satisfaction, and you can focus all that freed-up mental energy on something new & cool- like painting or something.

How exciting for you! I remember feeling like my surgery day was so far away & then once it arrived -- I just couldn't wait to get to the other side. Five weeks post-op today & I would change nothing. Wishing you a speedy recovery & a joyful journey!

Im afraid to speak up and change how well everythg is going. Lost four lbs. Just want to chew somethg. Tired of chicken broth but adkins Protein Drinks are really good and pure Protein too. My ankles have not been swollen for the past few nites. Always had cankles by bedtime preband. Easy to stay hydrated and stick to the plan while stayathome. Afraid of how hard it will be once back at work. I sleep mostly on my back and every two hrs or so switch sides. Its been hard not sleeping on my sides. First nite was difficult. Last night was better. Slept a whole four hrs at a time. Havent slept a full nite in years. Two hr catnaps rollover for another two hrs. Hoping this will be the end of restless nights. No sliming or pb or stuck. Just liquids and Multivitamins

3 wks post op. Down 21.5 lbs. Saw my dr yesterday. I'm at only 2 ccs but he decided I didn't need a fill. Everythg has been going good. I get to graduate to solid foods now. I've been chewing chewing chewing. I find that if I've chewed somethg with 30 chews and it still isn't ready to go down I just spit it out. No vomiting no pb. Everythg is great. Now if I can just get myself to the gym more

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
