Seashelles 23 Posted October 7, 2014 So yesterday I had my final consult with my surgeon and I was prepared to ask all these questions from the weeks of research, I had been doing and I froze up and didnt ask not a thing. I sat there the entire time just listening and nodding. Only thing I managed to ask about was had he ever had any complications and he said once and it was due to the person eating solids too soon. I suffer from aniexty and I was so nervous that I clammed up. I am so frustrated at myself.
BloomingLotus 179 Posted October 7, 2014 My surgeon gave me his email address, and I have the emails of the surgical coordinator and nutritionist. Maybe it will be easier for you to write out each question and ask for a call back? Or just call and ask? You have every right to ask questions, be your own advocate! jessiquoi 623 Posted October 7, 2014 Well. There is no law saying you can't call his office and tell them you have some questions you forgot to ask the doctor. Make sure you write them down first, so you won't blank out again, and then just read them off. The surgeon is getting compensated, and works for you! Also, there may be someone else in the office (a nurse practitioner, etc) who can answer the questions you have. Call.
