Hmmmmm, five days huh..... And thats all you've noticed ?? Relax....probably just gas. Or could be a "full" trigger. Or you bod just letting you know it's pissed off you did all that trama to it...... You're gonna notice alot of different noises, aches, various pains etc. for awhile as you heal and adjust. Unless it persists or gets worse, just give it time and it will probably pass.

@@Recycled waiting on doc call now

Good call. Try to relax and not worry too much. It's always advised to contact your doc when you need definitive answers. The fist few days always works on the nerves a little. Here's hoping it's nothing to be concerned about. ;)

Please call your doctor's office. If it's nothing, they'll let you know that. If it's something, they'll tell you what to do about it. Follow-up care and advice is part of the service they provide. Good luck!

My surgeon said that the pain under you shoulder blade is the gas. He said it feels horrid and you cannot massage it out.

For this you must walk it out. I have a feeling you just moved a certain way and some of the operation gas. moved too.

Good to check with your doctor, but walk walk walk to see if it subsides.

So after all the trips to er and all the stick to my feelings. I ended up discovering a leak.....now I have to be fed via tube directly to body so my stomach leak can repair. Its so small that can't go back in and find it.

=(

So sorry about your complication. I hope it resolves quickly so that you start feeling better soon. You were really smart to trust your feelings and seek medical care.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
