I have never heard of GENEPRO. I looked it up and all I found is a geneololgy sight. I really like powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury and nectaur protiens. I am a chocolate lover but can't seem to be able to like the chocolate Protein powders that need to be mixed. So with the Unjury I use the strawberry and unflavored one. With the Nectaur brand I really like a whole slew of their fruit flavored Proteins. I mix my Proteins with zero vitiman Water using just half the bottle. (10 oz.) They need to be mixed at room temperature and then if they can sit for 5 min. you can either put ice in the bottle or refridegerate it. This helps to avoid clumping. Use within 48 hours of mixing. I also have a premeir Protein for my Breakfast most days. These are already to go (called RTD) and I like the choclate with this one so haven't tried their vanilla. They might have a strawberry out too. (?)

Hope this helps.

I am unfamiliar with that brand of Protein powder.

I use vanilla flavour Body on the go shaping Protein (ready to drink bottles) when I choose a shake. I put 2 tblsp chia seeds in, shake and wait 10 minutes and I call it my bubble tea.

I prefer to use Quest bars to achieve my protein usually though. Once you feel you could stomach Protein Bars I encourage you to try them if you have not before.

Per bar:

  • 20g high quality protein
  • 17 g fibre
  • Between 160 and 200 calories

I currently eat 1 – 2 per day most days (max. 2 per day approved by my dietician). Early out from surgery I could eat half a bar at a time.

They come in many wonderful flavours such as:

If you are cautious with your sweeteners the following are sweetened with Stevia and Erythritol (commonly considered to be 2 of the safe sugar alternatives):

  • cinnamon roll
  • chocolate peanut butter
  • coconut cashew
  • banana nut muffin (gluten free)
  • lemon cream pie
  • strawberry cheesecake

The most economical way I know of to buy them is from their official site however I am in Australia.

I use GENEPRO with the approval of my NUT. IT IS AWESOME! Instead of a huge scoop it is just a tablespoon and has 30 grams of Protein and 98 calories and I believe it's 3 carbs. You can mix it in hot or cold. I use a scoop of vanilla Unjury, a cup of skim milk, a little sugar free pudding powder I love the banana cream and add a tablespoon of Genepro and some ice cubes mis it in a blender and I get 59 grams of protein in one shake. I drink one every morning then I only have to get a little more protein to meet my goal and it's simple!

Where do I find GENEPRO?

You can buy it from Amazon where if you have a Prime membership you save almost 10 on the shipping over buying it direct from their website.

I drink the Premier Protein shakes that you can get at Sam's, costco or Walgreens. They have 30 grams of Protein per shake and I think it is 120 calories. I just getting sick of drinking them. I ordered some beneprotein online and should be here anyway to add to Soups and stuff. I am on my 2nd week getting ready to start my 3rd ! Can't wait for soft foods ❤️

I just found a liquid 3 oz vial of Protein at Walmart! Just looking thru their health isle in the pharmacy section and there it was. Different flavored, watermelon, blue raspberry... 43 grams per 3 oz! 2 vials and you're done for the day. Weird though because the blue raspberry was .98 cents and the others were 2.38$. Only problem, I HATE artificial sweeteners. I tastes like diet coolaid. But I'm gonna try to get it down some sort of way. I'll take a pic and post it in a few...

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
