Protein powder Sample suggestions?

Recommended Posts

I get getting ready to order some samples from My Bariatric Kitchen. I have a nectar sampler in my cart and a Pantry Selections hot chocolate sampler.

1. Any additional items I should try?

2. Suggestions for other sites to get samples?

Thanks :)

Nashua Nutrition breaks various brands down into sample sizes.

I recommend powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury for taste, especially their chocolate Splendor + malted milk powder!

If you've been told you can have caffeine, I've heard a lot of people really like Chike Iced coffee.

My suggestion is don't bother. Wait until after the surgery. Your taste will most likely change. No sense wasting alot of money on stuff you may not like afterwards.

I know the desire is to get ready now, but it's really not necessary. ;)

Hello everyone! I bought the Unjury. It says use one scoop, but when i opened the chicken flavor there was no scoop. I guess all of them would have no scoops! So, how many Tbs is a scoop? Thanks

To get samples I highly recommend Nashua Nutrition! They sell samples of almost everything they sell. If a manufacturer doesn't offer a sample, Nashua Nutrition will package individual servings out of the larger containers. Each sample was $1.95 and I ordered $45 worth of samples and got them within 3 business days. I loved that I could try such a wide variety of manufacturers and flavors without committing to a large container. I put my shipping invoice on the fridge and everytime I try a flavor or product I rate it from 1 to 10 on how I liked it. It will make it much easier later to know how well I liked each one and which ones I want to order a full size off! Good luck!

@@naan it should tell you on the packaging how many grams are in a scoop, so you can weigh your Protein instead of measure it by volume if the scoop really is missing. But usually there is a scoop, it's just at the bottom of the tub and you have to dig down for it.

I got samples from my NUT as well as a health food store near me. Some were free and some were around $1.50-2.50 ea. I just ordered the variety pack sampler of Syntrax Nectars from Bariatricliving.com. I like the samples because it's a good way of seeing the consistency of different brands. Your tastes may change post-op but consistency is important. They're also good to have during your pre-op diet for some variety!

whey Factors is a good brand. The chocolate isn't overly sweet which I liked. The Protein content isn't as high as others but added to milk it will get you where you need to be. Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions! I love the idea of rating the products on the invoice.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
