I shopped around on Amazon and finally bought a little digital scale that weighs ounces. The company is EatSmart Precision Pro Digital Kitchen scales. Small and easy to use.

I have a digital one by ozeri I got for under $20 on Amazon. Holds up to 11 lbs. You can tare out the weight of plates or bowls.
