Does anyone ever wake up with nausea? I am 6 weeks out and for the second time this week I woke up with nausea. I have been able to see something the same . The night before I ate my dinner ... Still on soft foods... At 8:00 pm when'I normally eat at five. I have not gone to bed for a couple of hours after . Any correlation ?

Oh my gosh me too! It's only when I wake up and sometimes bad enough I have to take a Zophran. I have never had nausea and cannot relate it to anything I ate. I don't know what is going on. I too will be six weeks on Monday. Please let me know if you figure it out. It is driving me crazy. My doctor does not think its dehydration as I get in lots of fluids and my Protein too. Oh and I eat almost exactly the same time every night. About 7:30.

Hello

I had my RNY in July 2011. I did have nausea real bad. Me doctor stated that I was too full. Try to eat a little less and then go back to the serving you started. It takes time getting ajusted. I hope this helps.

Waking up with the nauseas. Try drinking at night and during your bathroom breaks at night. That's what helped me.

Thank you... Never had this before I was sleeved! Anything I can take for this? I do go to the doctor Wednesday for my 6 week post op... I will be sure to ask. It poses a problem because I don't want to eat or drink in the morning .

Continue to sip so you won't get dehydrated, then when you go to the doctor ask for something or find out why you are having this problem.

I eat about an ounce or an ounce and a half. I don't get nauseated when eating or drinking. Only when I wake up in the morning. Not even when I get up in the night for bathroom breaks. It's strange. I asked my doctor and he asked what time I ate and what time I got up in the morning. Then didn't really have an answer as to why all of a sudden it

Started. I curious to see what your

Doctor says.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
