Bigdog56 17 Posted October 4, 2014 Things are really starting to settle in now that I was officially approved for my rny surgery... I am new on here, and I definitely have some anxiety around this surgery, but I'm also really excited about the new me... I've always been a big weight litter and when I was lighter I loved to run and I'm looking forward to getting back took that again... I am worried about the liquid diet and how my body will take this surgery... And how long it will take to feel "normal" again... Anybody with some advice on what they went through would be much appreciated... I know WHY I'm having surgery, but I still can't help feeling a little anxious now that I'm basically two weeks away from the big day...

epiphani 28 Posted October 20, 2014 For the liquid diet, I tried to focus on the excitement of finally being at that stage. That lasted for a day and a half! lol I was pleasantly surprised by how well I did after surgery. Laporoscopic surgery allows them to do major work while leaving the supporting muscles essentially intact. That made walking much easier, and walking makes everything better!
