What is the best tasting liquid Isopure and cheapest to buy. Thanks

As with all Protein drinks....."cheap" isn't part of the choices. However, I use the Isopure Zero carb drinks in the glass bottles (get them at GNC) which come in many flavors (some are doable, some are horrible) and are 40 grams of Protein in 20 ounces. I use them when I go to the gym. That way I'm usually so thirsty, I don't mind the taste. Other times I just cut them 50% with Water. Pretty much the most bang for your buck when it comes to Protein Drinks. ;)

I used "Grape Mist" and was able to tolerate the taste. A lady in our Kaiser Options classes brought a bottle of it to class so we could taste it and that is why I bought a case of it, I do not remember how much I payed for it but I do remember shopping online for the best price. I have not tried the other flavors but heard you really need to try one before you buy a whole bunch of the same flavor.

:)

Appreciate your help. I will be purchasing at GNC. Just didn't want to waste money on awful flavors. I know everyone has different taste. A

Can I use during clear liquid phase

I'm getting ready to buy a variety pack of the big bottles from GNC. You get two bottles of each flavor, 12 bottles in all. It's on sale for $49.99 or $44.99 if you have their Gold card. This comes out to $3.75 per bottle. I mainly want these for my first post-op week as a way to get Protein in my clear liquid phase. If I don't drink them all, DH will be able to use them when he has his surgery. I got a tip from a You Tube video that if you can't stand the taste of them, add Water and a packet of Crystal Light of the same flavor.

I bought 4 bottles of different flavors & couldn't stand any of them. I ended up pouring them down the sink. Still makes me cringe thinking about it.

My dietician recommended staying with citrus flavors. I have the icy orange flavor and like it. They were close to $5 a bottle at Vitamin Shoppe

Ok, I ended up ordering the Isopure variety pack from Luckyvitamin.com ($46.30). They have free shipping on orders over $49 so I added a couple packets of Biochem whey Protein powder ($1.99 ea). Considering GNC wants to charge almost $18 to ship and it appears you can only get the variety pack online, I think this was a good deal!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
