ny 6/19 and lately all my muscles are sore. it makes physical activity very difficult. i had a stricture a few weeks ago and couldn't eat, so i have been Protein deficient for a while and I think that has been part of my problem.

I'm 4 weeks out and seem to be dropping weight quickly. I def don't meet my Protein goals. It's been hard for me to fit in eating and drinking. I always feel thirsty and usually pick that over eating. It's hard to schedule everything all the time. I have to be better at it because I def feel sore and achy and don't want it getting worse. I wish there was high dose protein pills lol

My recovery has been slower than I anticipated. There has been a lot more sitting on the couch than I planned on and now that I'm trying to get up and get going (6 weeks post) things are a little sore. But I can tell it's b/c I have lost just about every bit of muscle I had before. My hips hurt me yesterday on my walk. But I have had arthritis for ages and that part feels so much better w/o the weight.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
