I took from the majority of posts that Syntrax Nectar fuzzy navel flavor was well tolerated. I ordered the large canister and agree. Two scoops mixed with 4 cups Water, give or take, gives me 46 gm Protein. A ready to drink Premier Protein or muscle milk adds the remainder.

HI there...I'm 10 months post-op...

Vitamins and other supplements Bariatric Advantage chewables (don't give up after the first few tries - you get used to the taste), essential fatty acids, Vitamin D

Protein shakes powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury vanilla and chocolate Splendor (try sugar free Torani syrups to mix in - they have tons of different flavors)

Skin products for sagging Nivea Skin Firming Body Lotion (honestly, I don't know if it helped, but it made me feel like I was doing something productive and my skin is much softer)

hair products for Hair loss Biotin and Folic Acid (approved by doc), Nioxin Shampoo & conditioner, Toppik (to cover the hair loss - works just like their on-line videos) My doc says there's nothing you can do to stop the loss, but you can help it come back.

I'm on my Protein diet now and I've found that the Isopure ones are by far the best. They even have premade drinks with 40 grams of protein in them, and they are good. I've been getting all my stuff from the Vitamin Shoppe. The people in there are so nice and helpful and didn't look down on me for having surgery to lose weight like the jerks at GNC did. In my opinion the ISOPURE powder and drinks are where it's at. Good luck!!

Vitamins and other supplements - I get my vitamins at Walmart. Citrical chocolate chews and Centrum chewables early on, (now I just swallow pills) but get a "petite" variety when I can.

Protein Shakes - Syntrax Nectar Iced Lemon Tea, later, Quest bars and PowerCrunch bars. I lost my taste for milky, thick shakes for a while and preferred a Water mix product.

Skin products for sagging - I try to remember to moisturize with a product containing cocoa butter daily. Not sure if it's helping but it smells nice! Exercise IS helping some especially around my arms and legs.

hair products for Hair loss - Been taking a Biotin supplement since 3 months pre-op. Never really saw much hair loss and my nails are in GREAT shape!

vitamins and other supplements

Wellesse liquid Multivitamins, liquid Calcium, and liquid Iron for the first four weeks after surgery. Trader Joe's High Potency chewable multi's for after that.

Protein shakes

Chike, Unjury chocolate Splendor & chicken Soup, Syntrax Matrix, Syntrax Nectar Sweets, Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard, Jay Robb whey isolate.< /p>

Almost as important: the right stuff to mix powders with (if you have Kroger stores near you, check out their Carbmaster milk line, the numbers are GREAT), Torani SF syrups, Sweetleaf Sweet Drops, instant coffee granules if you like coffee -- all sorts of calorie-free ways to enhance the flavor of Protein Shakes and keep things interesting.

Skin products for sagging

Surgery and weight lifting

Hair products for hair loss

Time and patience, Toppik or Nanogen to fill things in if your scalp starts showing.

I really love the EAS AdvantEDGE Carb Control Rich Dark chocolate flavor ready-to-drink Protein shakes. The only down side to them is that they only have 17 grams of Protein, so I end up adding some extra unflavored whey protein to mine.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
