Recommended Posts

I will like to use this space to let you know about the experience that I had with Dr. Huacuz, on December 08th 2006, so far Im down 80 pounds and I got my life back. I´m really happy with the results and the care that my dotor show to me at all times before and after my surgery. All the evaluations that were perform by the cardiologist and the psicologist Louise Mattos, who help me alot at the time that I has nervous, it was really helpfull to talk to someone that is from my country. Been honest with you I never thougt that I was going to have such a great experience I was afraid at the beguan, but once I was on the Doctors Hospital they make me feel really comftarble around them.. The hospital is so asowen clean just like any hospital in the USA, the medical staff is so carying, that you would never get this same treat on the United States, they really care about their patients.

I will encorage you to go and log in to Dr. Huacuz´s website www.huacuz.com . also the have videos that you can take a look of on http://video.yahoo.com/video/search?p=huacuz&x=0&y=0.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
