Teachamy 1,042 Posted September 29, 2014 Hi All, I am 10 months out. I have reached goal and am trying not to lose any more. (What a weird statement to have to make!) Anyway, I have a spinal lesion disease, which may turn out to be Multiple Sclerosis after an MRI this week. Something I've noticed online is that post-bariatric surgery, some people end up with the same neurological symptoms that I have, including pins & needle pain and numbness due to Vitamin deficiency. I am taking all my Vitamins and was fine the last time I had blood work checked for Vitamin levels. Just wondering if any of you either have MS, or have had issues with vitamin deficiencies. Advice? Thanks, Amy

Thanks, Amy Hello, Don't think I qualify as a veteran, (other than military service) but that is one of my biggest concerns long term. I take all my vitamins--even taking additional supplements for my joint problems, such as Ester-C, Turmeric and Essential Fatty Acids,(EFAs). I'll have my year follow-up in December. I'm sorry I don't have any advice to offer. Wishing you better health and blessings, Kathleen
Miss Mac 6,262 Posted September 29, 2014 My year is coming up in December, too. So far I have had two blood tests done. In the first, I was low on B12. The doctor started me on Bariatric Advantage AE, which is a huge stinky horse pill that I crush and drink with cherry or strawberry Jello Water. The second blood test (last month) showed everything where it needs to be. But since you mentioned nerve issues, I will be aware for that. I already have sciatica and nerve damage from a botched knee replacement, so I will really have to pay close attention for anything different. Thanks for the heads up. I wish you good luck and good health.
BeagleLover 1,020 Posted September 29, 2014 I wish I could help, but I have no experience in that area. Hopefully, your MRI won't show MS. Best wishes!
