So ready to see what the 160's feel like~ If you are on the fence and wondering if the sleeve works........YES it does :) I was sleeved 8/31/13 in Mexico by Dr. Illan, Baja Bariatrics in Tijuana. Would do it over and over again! LOVE my sleeve and my new life. Protein, Protein, protein and Water, water, water :) Wearing mostly 12's and medium tops but I did fit in a size 8 pants! They may have had a little more stretch BUT they were still an 8! LOL whatever works baby.................HAPPY SLEEVING :)

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!

Fabulous progress and I'll bet you feel so much better.

I'm so happy for you :)

Hoping I'll reach that goal weight but I'm taking one day at a time-keep on doing what I'm supposed to do.

Blessings,

That exactly what I weighed at my first appt with Dr Kim 326! I'm down 50 lbs on my preop liquid diet and am schedule for surgery Dec 1st. What were some of your biggest struggles in the early days? How is your skin if I can ask. I'm already seeing a lot of sagging. I've been this way for years so I don't expect to get out of this without needing some plastic surgery.

My biggest struggle was Constipation. Other than that it was really smooth sailing. I had brachioplasty 6 weeks ago in Mexico because my arms were HUGE. That was a breeze as well. I hope to get TT and boob for Christmas. My thighs are a hot mess but as long as I don't wear short shorts I'm okay.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
