sbrown1 10 Posted September 27, 2014 Hoping everything gets better soon
Cindi2014 57 Posted September 27, 2014 I promise you that it will get better. I had to take the pain medication for 1 week straight. After that, each day got so much better and 4 months later I am totally comfortable with my band. You'll get through it. Start walking as soon as you can. That helps tremendously. Best of luck
JustWatchMe 7,117 Posted September 27, 2014 It should. If it gets worse call your doctor. But every day should be a bit better.
toveylapgal 15 Posted September 27, 2014 Right there with ya sbrown. Had mine Monday the 22nd and feeling like a little bit of hell. I did resort to drinking bolt house farms Protein Shakes from publix along with my Clear Liquids. Starving to death. Bruised and swollen. Not wanting to do anything but take pain meds and sleep. Tummy( skin) is burning all the time

oui1213 29 Posted October 5, 2014 Is it normal to have stomach cramps way high up? In pit of stomach? Worse after i drink. Tried not taking pain med did not work. Now i am taking and feeling better. Thx
toveylapgal 15 Posted October 5, 2014 You could be dehydrated at this point only adding to the stomach cramps. Set a timer and make yourself drink a 1 once serving every 15 min for a entire day. See what happens

shanatx 33 Posted October 6, 2014 For me, the pains lasted 6 weeks and gradually, everything started getting back to normal. However, port pain lasted until about 7 months. At the 8th month, I finally got to where I can lie on my stomach again. I'm now 10 months post-Op
scubajill 0 Posted October 9, 2014 How are you feeling by now? I'm on day 11 and the pain has gotten to be less little by little every day but the first week was hell. I still have pain at the port site - feels very hard and I'm still on liquids but having some Constipation issues which I'm taking care of now. Good luck in your journey! You never know how much pain this thing is until you experience it but we can go through it together. I was banded on 9/29. Here's to reaching our goals! loser2014 73 Posted October 9, 2014 I'm glad for the support of this site and to read everyone's experiences. I'm only one day post-op and was already getting frustrated with the amount of pain that I still have. It's comforting to see that it's normal to have pain for days or even weeks, although I hope I don't!
