bumbles 11 Posted September 25, 2014 I drank about 4 oz of cold apple juice the other morning. I drank it slow. After I finished about 3 minutes later I had a horrible burning feeling all in my stomach. Then it happened again a few days later when I ate 3 oz of steak. I had to throw up to get rid of the feeling. This has never happened to me before, has this happened to anyone else? Today marks 2 years and 70 lbs!
finediva 979 Posted September 25, 2014 So you have had cold apple juice before, in the last two years, and no problem? Same as for having steak, with no problem?
bumbles 11 Posted September 25, 2014 yes I use to drink apple juice regularly and steak is in my diet almost 4 nights of the week...
finediva 979 Posted September 25, 2014 Of course I'm no sleeve expert here, but if these are the only two things that are causing you an issue, maybe tummy decided it no longer wants to tolerate them. if you did a test and other cold liquids or meats are also an issue, maybe there is a problem. But knowing me, I would put a call into my surgeon and touch base. Just to be on the safe side.
bumbles 11 Posted September 25, 2014 I sure hope that my tummy doesn't reject those....2 of my favorites! My desire for food and taste is very low...I just wanted to know if anyone else had this problem before I call the dr.... I kinda want to wait to see if it happens again.... MaryE 27 Posted September 30, 2014 Apple juice is more acidic than orange juice. Now that you are sleeved you can't tolerate it.
