valeriehayes 0 Posted May 8, 2007 Hello My name is Valerie. I was lapbanded on 5/4/2007 in Houston, Texas. I have been reading alot of forums. Every one is so helpful and encouraging. I wish I would have read this prior to surgery. Great helpful hints. I am 4 days post op. I feel wonderful today. I also have a tip about Multivitamin. You can get them in chewing gum. You chew for 5-10 mins before your meal. Val :typing:

ginger205 0 Posted May 10, 2007 I am in Arkansas, I had my surgery in Little Rock, but I live in Hot Springs. Today was better, but tonight I am exhausted!
ginger205 0 Posted May 10, 2007 What are you eating in your post op liquid phase? My nurse tells me to use a blender and be creative? Does that mean a cheeseburger blended up? Share details please!
valeriehayes 0 Posted May 10, 2007 My post op diet is Clear liquids week one, full liquids week two, soft foods week three, and so on. I have my post op appt today. I can go back to work tomorrow. I can't wait. I want to do things at my house that I am not ready to do. Plus my husband is retired so he has his own routinue after the kids go to school. I think I am driving him crazy. All of our pets, 3 dogs and 2 cats are so confused that I am home. I am not sure about blending up a cheeseburger. Because my doc does not want you to blend up food. lianna 3 Posted May 11, 2007 Hello from another Texan! Hope you are over the worst of the recovery symptoms by now, and welcome to LBT!
KlopOut1 0 Posted May 11, 2007 The only worry I have about the Vitamin gum is that I was told by one of the nurses to avoid gum. If you accidently swallow it, it would be impossible to pass. I don't know if I'd risk it so thought I'd pass it on just in case.
