Kpar909956 87 Posted September 24, 2014 I don't have to start this until Oct 4th, but I was curious to what everyone is eating.
sweetcheeks709 38 Posted September 25, 2014 I have a 2 week liquid diet I have to do. Its almost all Protein Shakes that I got from my Drs office and 1-2 cups of veggies until 3 days before surgery then its straight Protein shakes. For 2 weeks.. :/ Sorry I'm still wrapping my head around it lol. I start that on 10/5, with surgery on 10/20.. I'm a little jealous of the people that only have to do a low carb diet or a few days of liquids.< /p>
It's Allgood 30 Posted September 25, 2014 i did a two week liquid diet which included shakes, Isopure rtf, and any other low to no cal beverge w/o no carbonation. I did muscle milk, powdered shakes, and isopure. After 2 days, you are not hungry and you know you can do it!
leenieceymic1 90 Posted September 27, 2014 I agree with it's all good! 2 week liquid diet for me. No food at all. Some of you are lucky to be able to eat a small meal. I'm on day 4 & I feel great. It's not as hard as I thought it would be. Stay hydrated & stay focused. We came too far to turn back now. Best wishes to everyone.
Kindle 8,667 Posted September 27, 2014 (edited) Everyone 's surgeon has a different plan...what are your instructions? 1 did 16 days of 3 Protein shakes /day plus unlimited leafy green veggies (spinach, lettuce, broccoli, brussel sprouts). I could substitute broth with unflavored Protein powder added for one of the shakes. I think I was allowed SF Jello but never had any. I made Popsicles out of Protein drinks for a treat. Drank lots of Water. Lost 22 pounds in 16 days and had a smooth easy recovery from surgery. Edited September 27, 2014 by Kindle
lisam495 16 Posted September 27, 2014 I am on day 2 of liquid diet. Not to bad I have to drink 4 Protein Meal Replacements a day and 1/2 cup of non starchy veggies! N a lot of Water. Spend a lot of time in the bathroom. Lol. But I am not hungry at all. I don't like the flavor of the shake but added sugar free Jello to it and it is better! Cecilia2 5 Posted September 28, 2014 I was supposed to do 14 days of Protein shakes and clear liquid only but I got a call asking if I wanted to move up my surgery. I am now on day 5 of 10 days of 4 Protein Shakes per day and no food. Honestly, it's not as hard as I thought it would be. I do make dinner for my family and the smells make me a little hungry but I try to plan my shakes as I cook. The only thing that I have noticed is that I am really tired. If I sit, I fall asleep. Can't wait until Friday!
