I threw away several scales because they were inaccurate. I finally found one at Bed, Bath and Beyond that was good. It is a Beurer Model BF66. It measures weight in 0.2 pound increments. You can weight yourself three times in a row and always get the same number.

On the negative side, this sale has a max weight limit of 330 pounds, so if you are above that weight, I might give you problems.

I weigh myself each morning and its one of the metrics that I track. It tells me very quickly if I am off-target in the maintenance phase of my weight loss journey.

Thanks all for the great input...first my scale is somewhat inaccurate because I will get on I am this number then I get back on a minute later and it's a different number. Maybe I should put in a new battery and see if it make a difference. I do put it on a hard floor so that is not a problem. One of you said that money does not always make the value better so we shall see. I love the graphing idea and chart every time I get on the scale.< /p>

Thank you James I wanted info on other scales. I will most definitely look into Bed and Bath Beyond for the one you mentioned. I just want accuracy. I am under 330 just will just work!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
