New Hope 37 Posted November 12, 2004 Wow, Leatha, there's no stopping you now, girl! You're doing great! Yes, I do have a problem with balance and coordination. But then I always have! LOL Leg lifts? What's that? LOL I bought a couple of Yoga for Dummies dvds and didn't even make it through one time! Thought I'd have the big one!
Iluvharleys 15 Posted November 12, 2004 Leatha is going to show us all up! I bought that tape a year ago, and it's still in the box, does that count? All kidding aside, you are doing so good! You will be running circles around us in Galvaston! By the way, I would be the one they call "clumsey"

New Hope 37 Posted November 12, 2004 Betty, really, what size is your Harley? I know it's a big one.
Iluvharleys 15 Posted November 12, 2004 It's a Heritage Ultra Softail classic, an 88 cubic inch, and weighs about 695 pounds. You're right, it is a big one, but it's still my baby!
lapbander081004 7 Posted November 12, 2004 Leatha_g Got a cure for your leg lift troubles. Try doing them like if do..KEEP BOTH FEET ON THE GROUND WHILE DOING THEM AND YOUR BALANCE WILL BE OK.
New Hope 37 Posted November 12, 2004 Excuse me, Betty! 695 Pounds! Are you serious? How in the world do you balance something like that? The way you're dropping weight, how will you be able to handle that? I am VERY impressed!
Iluvharleys 15 Posted November 12, 2004 It is heavy for me when I first sit it up, but then it's not any problem. It really kind of balances itself, as long as you don't let it tip to one side too much. I haven't been on it since I lost my weight, I better start doing some weight lifting! It really isn't hard Marie, you get use to it. Come on over, I'll let you try it! If you can ride a bike 20 miles, you can ride a Harley!
New Hope 37 Posted November 12, 2004 Betty, I am still in a state of shock and admiration over here!! How long have you been riding solo?
lapbander081004 7 Posted November 12, 2004 Marie Don't do it.. Stay off that Harley. Once you try it there is no going back. your whole life will be consumed with getting one.
Iluvharleys 15 Posted November 12, 2004 Marie - I have only been riding a couple of years. This is my first motorcycle and I absolutely love to ride. Greg is right, once you ride one, you get hooked and have to have one.
