Any One Up For an Exercise Challenge?

Recommended Posts

Ok! Ok! I'll go! I really don't want to go out and exercise. I quietly missed it yesterday but you guys are relentless. What the H*** time is it anyway? With the time change and the power going out from the weather every clock in my house has a different time. I am so confused. ?Why is it so hard to want to go exercise when is cold, wet, windy, and cloudy? I mean for crying out loud-I am going to be inside!

Betty, you're kicking butt! When can you ride your scooter again? Lauri, I'm counting on you to sweat tonight. I'm walking three times a week, so tomorrow I'm on!

He told me when I am not tender anymore or hurting. I'm gonna give it a few weeks anyway just to make sure. If I get desperate or have withdrawals, I'll jump on behind hubby! lol Right now it is cold and rainy so I'm not missing it at all.

Now that I'm not terrified by my motorcycle I have withdrawls when I'm not on it. It's another disease that I didn't need! Now I can't ride for 3 days cause I'm lending my gloves & helmet to a good friend who bought a bike cause of me & Chris, and he's taking the class tomorrow. It's infectious. Send help!

Curves completed!!! Man-everytime I checked my pulse it was like 80-90%! I wasn't even working that hard! What's up with that? Can chocolate overload cause your pulse to go up? I've got to make the kids hide their candy!!!!

Betty-you are doing great!

When we got our bikes so did two other people on our street. Now there are two more that want to get them, and we don't have but a couple more houses! They are addicting!

I did a 50 minute walk plus upper body on my home gym. I can't ride my motorcycle for 3 days because I loaned my helmet, gloves and goggles to ANOTHER friend who just bought a bike. His bike came with all the gear, but it won't be delivered till the weekend. He needed my stuff cuz he starts the 3-day motorcycle course today, so he'll be licensed to join us in our Sunday group. That's two friends that bought bikes since I did, one neighbor and my ex-boyfriend in Texas!

Hey Delarla: I want that darn tiara back. I walked 4.7 miles in 1 hour and 45 min. I ROCK!! I walked to Queen's greatest hits and Train's "Jupiter". IT was awesome and I will pay for it tonight. I earned that darn tiara. LOL!!! I have refrained from weighing myself since I showed that 3 lbs gain. So I am looking forward to weighing on Monday. WHOO HOO!! I am gonna kick butt on that scale. HOPEFULLY anyway. LOL!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
