julia4mom 19 Posted September 23, 2014 Good Morning everyone! This is my first post, but I have been lurking for over a month, just reading and learning. I had my 1st appt with Dr. Lord on Sept 10th, have completed 2 months of the 3 month weight trial that my insurance requires, have had all the blood tests, ultrasound, and ekg done. I have my 2hr nutrition orientation and Psychology Evaluation on 10/9, and my nutrition evaluation on 10/25. Dr. Lord said that if everything goes smoothly, I should be scheduled for surgery in January 2015! I have notice that several people said that they had to lose weight to qualify, but I was told to just maintain and not to lose. My issues are not just my weight but my health. I am on three different blood pressure medications and it is still not controlled, as well as cholostorol medication. My primary care doctor has been great in helping me to make this decision and I am nervous but excited to be heading in the direction of better health. My daughter is getting married next October and I am looking forward to being around for my future grandchildren. I look forward to chatting with you all more during this journey!
