MAJIQUE 36 Posted September 22, 2014 Hello. I had surgery May 19th. I feel so much better. I've lost almost 50 pounds from my pre- op diet and 95 pounds from my highest weight ever but I'm REALLY slowing down and getting scared. I think 4 months is soon to be only losing 2 pounds a week. I know I have slipped some but I climb back on the wagon pretty fast. Any body out there 6-12 months out who went through this? I used to have that ketosis taste in my mouth.... I need that back. That was my sign things were right. I can stand to lose 55 - 75 more pounds easy. Help.
Miss Mac 6,262 Posted September 22, 2014 My weight loss slowed down at around six months. I have been on a plateau for weeks, having lost the same thwo pounds about ten times. Geeze Louize. I do not want to stop at 172 because my goal weight is 135. Just hang in there with me, we will figure this out.
swimbikerun 1,046 Posted September 22, 2014 2 pounds a week is 8 pounds a month. That being said you do not talk about how and what you are eating and exercising. What are you doing in terms of those? You are going to have to work hard at it now that the "honeymoon" phase is over. That being said you are still losing 8 pounds a month and that's not bad at all. MichiganChic 3,262 Posted September 22, 2014 I think that's pretty normal. You might have some months better, some worse. The further out you are, the less you weigh, the slower it gets. You didn't really give much information about how you are eating or your height/weight, but assuming you doing things right, then just keep doing that. 8-10 pounds a month is great! If you continue to lose at that rate, you'd be at goal in roughly another 7-8 months. Another thing though....I found the closer I got to goal, the harder I had to work, and would lose 4-5 pounds a month.
