Hey ya'll,

I met with my surgeon today. What a great guy. He answered every question I had and made me feel very comfortable. I'm excited and I can't wait. Now I'm waiting for the Pre-op call. I'll keep you posted.

I'm going for my first visit tomorrow! I'm so excited and have all my questions ready. I have to do the 6 month medically supervised program first for my insurance. Talk about the longest 6 months of my life! Funny once you decide to do this it completely consumes your thoughts. All I can think about is having the surgery and starting my new life. I'm trying to incorporate some of the lifestyle changes now to help me make it my new normal.

I completely love these message boards! After years of contemplating WLS I go in 2 hours for me first meeting with a surgeon. I'm so excited and nervous at the same time! Nervous of the unknown...I've never been a "normal" size and I'm looking forward to that and to feeling so much better!!

Anyone else following a diet for 6 months preop? I'm shooting for 1400 calories a day and 80g of Protein. Looking for lunch ideas for a busy career mom of a toddler with little spare time!
