Vitamin Deficiency

Has anyone experienced a Vitamin deficiency with lapband surgery? I skipped my Vitamins a couple of days and on Saturday I felt pins and needles in my feet and hands all day with blurred vision. I took my vitamins on Saturday night and Sunday felt better. Could this have been a vitamin deficiency? I see my doctor today.

Shirley, my first guess would be that it isn't a Vitamin deficiency, but maybe high blood sugar. I don't mean to scare you, but that's probably the first thing your doctor is going to check.

It would take weeks if not months of going without specific Vitamins before you would start showing those kinds of symptoms.

It could also be a TIA (blood clot) so it is important that your doctor give you a good workup. The Vitamin thing is just a coincidence. Good luck and let us know what happens!

Not likely with her symptoms. My vote is thyroid.
