Had my surgery 98 days ago,i don't have a nutritionist and my surgeon is in another country. He gave me guidelines for a few weeks but nothing about my calories.

How many calories am i supposed to eat? I have around 900 but have been in a stall for 2 weeks now.

I walk everyday 3-4kms but I'm frustrated as hell,i don't know hiw to proceed with my calories.

I'm about the same. 3 months out and i haven't lost anything for 3 weeks.

I still log everything. About 900 to 1000 calories. About 60 gm Protein. I got my blood drawn yesterday for my follow up next week. I hope the numbers are good.

I'm not sweating the stall too much because I'm doing everything right.

I hope you can just appreciate that someone else is exactly where you are and going through the same thing.

We have a group on Facebook who all had surgery the end of May. Almost all of us stalled 2-3 weeks just after the 3 month mark. Normal.

I have never restricted carbs. I didn't do this to restrict carbs - I did that with Atkins. I did this to restrict portions. Sure, if I want to lose glycogen stores and "look" thinner for a special event I'll go low carb for a few weeks - which I might do in october actually. I'll lose some weight from the glycogen stores while I am low carb, but I'm currently still losing 2-4lbs a week on average and I dont think going low carb will really change that. I'm doing as good as everyone else I am in a group with that was sleeved when I was. So you may temporarily gain from the glycogen store but you shoud still lose at the same rate if your calories are low enough.

I asked my surgeon how many calories I should be having and he said 800-1200 after I can eat normally.

The people at my support group have said they have noticed while they have not lost weight their clothing sizes have gone down. They've also said tracking every bite and sip of liquid that goes into their mouth and changing up their exercise routine helps.

Also, find a support group in your area.

It's a great idea,i tried finding a group in toronto online but came up with nothing. i don't even know how to start I'm trying to find a dietitian.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
