Are you talking about regular Soups at the grocery store, or special protein/bariatric soups?

Regular Soups I could eat in full liquid stage

Soups made with Bone Broth instead of salty canned broth will give you more nutrients. You could make a home made beef vegetable Soup with veggies of your liking, strain out and then mash the veggies, and save the mash in small baggies or ice cube trays for when you get to the puree stage. The broth will be so much more rewarding than canned soup.

I made some home made chicken broth just last week after I had bought a rotisserie chicken to have as a Protein "snack on" for the week. After I pulled the meat off the bone, I cooked the carcass and meaty bits with onion, carrot, and celery and some boxed broth to make it fuller instead of with tap Water. I added pepper, but not salt. I strained out the veggie bits and pureed them, then put them back in the broth. On full liquids, you could not add the veggies back, but you will still get the awesome flavor and nutrients.

I got every kind of creamed Soup I could get my hands on at the grocery store and strained them. My favorites were campbell's cream of shrimp (just in a can, has to be mixed with milk), campbell's Tomato and sweet basil bisque (comes in a plastic container with a black label), and my grocery store's fresh-made buffalo chicken chowder. I wasn't relying on soup for Protein, because I was having a Protein Shake for Breakfast and dinner, I was just relying on them for calories and variety.

I've found that cooking my own food is always better than canned or frozen. So many great Soups to be made with high-protein foods like lentils, black Beans, lean turkey, lean chicken, etc. Start with low-sodium broth (beef, chicken, miso, etc.) and it's hard to go wrong from there with any high-protein ingredient. Most soups start the same way, but change simply with spices and herbs.

Learn to use great spices/herbs like garlic, thyme, cilantro, parsley, pepper. Buy fresh or dried. Don't rely on prepackaged soup...make what YOU like.

If you need inspiration, I love low carb recipes. Check out the Low Carb Friends website, but sub lower-fat Proteins. Cooking your own foods is SO easy and rewarding.

I tried several hardy Soups. I just strained the solids out. That helped give me a good variety of flavors during the first two weeks.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
