heav85 123 Posted September 19, 2014 I am only in month two of my six month supervised weight loss but I wanted to do a trial run and see how long I could do the liquid diet for. I have been going 7 hrs. Had coffee Water poweraid zero Vitamin water zero a Protein Shake and yogart. I'm a lil hungry but not enough to eat a foot off yet
finediva 979 Posted September 19, 2014 You go for it! I had to quit a very serious coffee, (caffeine) addiction before my surgery. It almost killed me and I was very thankful I did not kill anyone. You you asked to give up caffeine? I was advised by my nutritionist three months prior to start weaning myself off, but I choose to ignore her recommendations and waited until my 2 week pre op diet. I paid, big time! All the best on your journey. Your early commitment is an asset to you.
heav85 123 Posted September 19, 2014 I lasted about 8 hours then had to go to the grocery store and its a bad idea to go the least bit hungry. Bad choices. But yea have to work on giving up caffeine. It's hard.
alwaysvegas 702 Posted September 19, 2014 You are doing fantastic so far! Anything you can do to embrace the post-surgery lifestyle is fantastic. Reducing your calories AND solid food intake will really make you appreciate smaller quantities of solid foods. I wish I could express how important that is. I knew the pre-op diet was important, but did not truly appreciate it until post-op. You are REALLY embracing this life change! I hope you have continued success! Keep us updated!
