dap72608 2 Posted September 18, 2014 Just came back from my Nutrition education class. My surgery is scheduled for the 30th and I was dreading the liquid diet. But I found out that I just dont only have to do liquids I can eat food as well. I have to eat a 1000 calories, 60-80 grams of Protein a day and 64oz of Fluid. waitingtoexhale 174 Posted September 19, 2014 (edited) Why can't I get this pre-op right?? It seems as though the devil is sabotaging my efforts! I've done plenty of "diets" and was successful, no problems but now, I'm craving chips, chocolate chip Cookies and French fries! Luvin_Life125 558 Posted September 19, 2014 Hang in there! We are all learning along the path we are traveling. None of us are perfect and we are all learning. Part of learning involves making mistakes and moving forward from the mistakes a little wiser than we were before. I am glad your pre-op diet allows some real food! What a relief to still be able to eat a meal. My pre-op diet is very similar and I am so grateful. My pre op diet allows unlimited vegetables (non-starchy) and one meal following strict guidelines.
