Frank 2 Posted October 11, 2004 That is not for one person. My wife lost 13lbs and I lost 20lbs. Lossing weight is easy when you don't eat (LOL) Clear Liquids are for the birds. I'm affraid some of our liquids were not that clear. We do like cream Soups. Deb has trouble with some liquids. but I feel like I could eat a horse.

PamRN 0 Posted October 12, 2004 Congrats to both of you, you're doing great. I'm glad you guys made it back in one piece, and I wish you much success. I didn't do so well on the Clear Liquids either, I lasted 2 days before I added milk, I needed something creamy, my tummy wasn't liking the clears and I was feeling on the naseaus side. I'm 20 days out, and on most regular foods, I haven't tried things that are dry or doughy, and I'm avoiding breads, and red meats, except ground beef that's broken up in Soup or sauce. Has Deb tried the chewable pepcid for her reflux? It sure helped mine that first week, the clears seemed to bring it on for me. Hang in there, it's all downhill from here <VBS>
blossom 2 Posted October 12, 2004 Congrats to you both!!! I hope to be there soon. However, I must admit that the clear liquids stage just scares me!!!
JPort32 0 Posted October 13, 2004 So glad to hear you both are doing so well!!!!!!!! Keep up the good work. I hope your reflux gets better. Glad to hear Debbie is doing better. I was fortunate, I take Prevacid everyday, so I had it under control before surgery, or else I would have been miserable for sure. You guys take care ok, and keep smiling. Hugz to you both Jodie
Frank 2 Posted October 14, 2004 Thank for the encouragement. Deb is doing much better. The reflux is not bothering her. She is not able to handle anything to thick. I not have any problems. I did eat some Soup call chicken tortilla. Big mistake the tortilla laid way to heavy.
