deb24 0 Posted May 6, 2007 I know everyone is different but about how long before I will be able to drive over to my office and work a little? I am a realtor and can set my own pace but what are some of your experiences timing-wise?
edieparks 2 Posted May 6, 2007 I would have been able to drive after 3 days. I waited and did what my dr suggested "5" days. I think it is really not a safety issue on your part but if someone hits you with a car even at a slow speed what it could do to your "new" surgery. edie
Alexandra 55 Posted May 7, 2007 I would have been able to "drive over to my office and work a little" two days after surgery. If you can quit or rest when you need to, you can go whenever you feel up to it. You might very well have the energy a day or two out, but what surprises a lot of people is how quickly that energy can fade during early recovery. It definitely takes a few days for energy and full movement to return for the whole day.
JohnnyRay 0 Posted May 7, 2007 I was driving without problems 3 days after surgery. It was just a little sore getting in and out of the care. My surgeon said it was ok to drive as soon as I was off the pain medicine. Just take it easy and for short distances the first couple of times and you'll be fine.
