I had my surgery about 6 years ago and went from 125kg to 85kg and dieted off after that down to 71kg then I managed to stretch the pouch area as no one warned me about carbonated drinks and now I am back to just over 100kg and rising!

Has anyone had a revised sleeve surgery yet and if so please let me know how it went and any other helpful info.!

Thanks

Emma

I am also interested in someone answering your question. I am scheduled for a revision from band to sleeve in a few weeks and plan on this being the last surgery I need. I know and have been told that I can regain weight if I do not work with my sleeve, I know this but I am hoping the sleeve will be just the tool to help me keep on track. While searching for my revision surgeon I ran into several people that had the sleeve redone so I know it can be done.

If anyone know of any doctors that approve the sleeve revisions. It has been 5 yrs since my sleeve. I cannot find a doctor to approve for a revisions. My eating habits is still the same. I am not sure for the weight gaining. I have severe arthritis in my knees & shoulders. So exercising is not fun for me. Are all doctors against revisions. Help!!!

Switching from sleeve to bypass might be something to consider.

If you have the means, you could go to Mexico and self pay. There are surgeons there that do revisions.

The other option is to redouble your efforts at keeping to a restricted diet. Have you tried the pouch reset?

I decided against a sleeve revision as the sleeve wasn't addressing the actual problem. After a few years of trial and error I worked it out and solved my life long problem. I will be shortly launching My Simple Steps to Health as I have managed to lose 65 kgs by myself eating loads of food and feeling happy, calm and it's changed my life. Should be launching in April and I am more than happy to help everyone who signs up from Bariatric Pal for a heavily discounted amount.

Thanks and look forward to helping you.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
