lodum 0 Posted May 8, 2007 As a follow up, I am at work this morning. It was tough getting ready this morning because the process felt so exhausting. Now that I'm here, I'm doing okay. Drinking my lovely Advantage shake and easing into the day. Yesterday afternoon was pretty rough, so I'm committing to myself that I will go home if I get to miserable this afternoon. I want to push myself, but not too hard. It feels like a fine line.
Johnsonlin 1 Posted May 8, 2007 Sounds like you have the best approach possible. Good luck. Each day will be better by large margins. Take care of yourself.

Muse 0 Posted May 9, 2007 Hey Lodum! I got banded on Monday, and so far I'm doing well. I think the worst part of the whole thing is that I can't lay down flat (I can't get up) and the gas! What the heck is that in my shoulder? lol. I mean how did it get up there? haha, well today is Wednesday and I'm actually doing well. Like I said it's really just the gas pain and my stomach growling that is bothering me. I'm the same with the food -- not really hungry. Just sipping on Water and liquids. Take care and Good luck! lodum 0 Posted May 9, 2007 Congrats on getting banded, Muse. I totally know what you mean about the gas. Funny that your shoulder hurts worse than where you were cut open, huh? The gas gets better, although in the morning is still pretty strong for me. I'm starting to have a bit of hunger, but it subsides with the liquids. I'm probably not drinking enough Water or something. Ate some Jello yesterday and had pain afterwards. Not sure if it was related or not. I'm definitely ready for some more substantial liquids - come on tomorrow!
NicksWife22 0 Posted May 9, 2007 Hi lodum! How was the rest of yesterday? How's today going now? Did you fly to your surgery? I have a 5+ hour flight...but the good news...I'm leaving tomorrow!!
lodum 0 Posted May 9, 2007 Hey. I'm very lucky that I did not have to fly. But, I did have about an hour drive home from the hospital. I'd probably need to get pretty drugged up for a flight home! I made it about 6 hours at work yesterday. It felt great just to get home and stretch out a bit. I'm doing much better today and expect to stay the whole day. I wish you well!
