AuriP 420 Posted September 17, 2014 I think the people who have to wait are the ones with a lot of scar tissue or damage from the band itself. Yes a revision is what the procedure I'm having is called. I'm hoping one operation for mine. My surgeon didn't say he wouldn't do it in one go, he is also going to check out my gallbladder to see if that needs to come out as well. My band is still a funny acting thing even with it unfilled. I just want a normal feeling stomach once again, which is what most revised patients from lap band feel like after having the RNY. I just can't wait to be on that losers bench! Itsmestephy :-) 3 Posted September 17, 2014 Hello everyone :-) this is my first post so hope u all can see it. I had lap band surgery 9/2009, and will be having a revision to RNY Sept 30, 2014. I am at my all time highest weight now of 386, and pray this surgery will give me the tools to be a healthier person. I had testing in July of this year that showed my band had slipped up, causing a stricture at the base of my esophagus, who knows how long it's been that way. I will be having my surgery at St. Vincent Carmel with Dr. Christopher Evanson, who is planning to remove the band and complete the RNY. I enjoy reading everyone's posts.. Love & Prayers of success to everyone
